I saw a link to http://bellevuebubble.com/ and got excited, thinking maybe it was another person like The Tim providing detailed analysis on the housing bubble in Bellevue, but I was wrong. It looks like the Real Estate Industry is just trying to use The Tim's successful website name recognition to attract people to their website so they can explain to them that now is really a great time to buy! They're getting desperate me thinks...

This is evidently a website for people who want to know about Bellevue Real Estate, and are unsure where it is. In case they can't read the word "Bellevue" on the map, it has a convenient arrow to make it clear just where Bellevue is.

Part of me wants to thank you for mentioning us on such a great website. I have followed , Rain City Guide , Ardell's Blog , and many of the larger blogs including Active Rain, Zillow, Redfin, and Trulia.

Each of these sites are superior to BellevueBubble.com in various ways. Our draw to readers (unfortunately we only have one draw at the moment), is our exclusive focus on the Eastside. After only a couple months of existing, we are still finding our stride and looking for sources of relevant, timely, and local information.

Are we hoping to emulate Tim Ellis's success with SeattleBubble? Absolutely, he has done a fantastic job!

We are not affiliated with any real estate company. I'm actually just a mediocre web designer that was tired of listening to people complain about how hard it is to find real estate data for the Eastside. BellevueBubble, I think one of the major draws of SB is its emphasis on data and analysis and healthy skepticism. I just clicked through to your home page and found this glistening chunk of prose on the front page:

"Increasingly, we've realized that there is something magical about looking at a house that you may want to buy and make your own. When a home looks right, when it strikes you from the first moment you enter the door, your mind almost inevitably begins to imagine how your belongings, your furniture—indeed, your life—would look in this house."

If you really are aiming to emulate what Tim Ellis has accomplished here, I would suggest ditching the magic -- and the breathless PR-ish tone that predominates -- pronto, and not letting your contributors assume, by their use of "we," ownership of the site. No snark here and I do wish you luck in your entrepreneurial endeavors, but in terms of providing grist and a forum for debate you are on the wrong track.

I can't agree with you more! The greatest frustration I currently have is the amount of "fluff" being published. In order to attract contributors, I have opened up the site to ANYONE wishing to submit posts about real estate and/or Bellevue. Unfortunately, we a still looking for an analytical blogger(s) to redirect the site's focus.

In the meantime, we are open to more superficial topics, as they do provide value to some of our readers. Tim Ellis does a great job of presenting in-depth data and extrapolating market trends to SB readers. As we garner more readers, and develop a stronger contributor base, I hope to continue improving the site by promoting real estate professionals with an inclination towards research and analysis.

I appreciate your comments and time viewing the site; I hope individuals like you will eventually see the value in an Eastside real estate blog and take initiative in making it a great site through healthy commenting and post contributions.
